Though India leads the world in tea drinking, the healthier varieties of tea, namely the White, Green, Oolong and full leaf Black teas, have not been able to find a foothold here. It is only the traditional Black tea dust (CTC) based chai, that centuries-old all purpose drink, which is the preferred choice amongst the general public.
