        Terbinafine is a synthetic allylamine antifungal. It is highly hydrophobic in nature and tends to accumulate in skin, nails, and fatty tissues.

       Terbinafine inhibits biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membrane, via inhibition of squalene epoxidase enzyme. 

       This results in fungal cell death primarily due to the increased membrane permeability mediated by the accumulation of high concentrations of squalene but not due to ergosterol deficiency. 

        Terbinafine has been shown to be active against most strains of the following microorganisms : Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum.In vitro, terbinafine exhibits against most strains of the following microorganisms : Candida albicans, Epidermophyton floccosum, Scopulariopsis brevicaulis.

        It is diuretic and is useful in urinary diseases, in Bright’s disease of the kidney with abundant sediment in urine, and in colic.

4.   MULIKSHAR ( RAPHANUS SATIVUS ) :

     It is diuretic and lithotriptic. It is useful in urinary complaints, relieves dysuria and strangury and calculi of the urinary tract.

5.   YAVKSHAR ( HORDEUM VULGARE ) :

      It is diuretic and resolvent.

      It is use to remove obstruction in passages, and in colic, urinary diathesis, chronic dysuria and in painful micturition.

6.   HING (FERULA ASSAFOETIDA ) :

      It mitigates vata and kapha, relieves flatulence and colic pain.

7.   PUDINA SAT ( MENTHA PIPERITA ) :

     Pudina posseses soothing properties, very useful for reducing pain caused  by an acute renal; colic.

8.   VARUNA ( CRATAEVA RELIGIOSA ) :

     It is known in Sanskrit as ashmarighn means one which destroys stone.

       Varuna’s Roots and bark are lithotriptic.
