Our Trademark Vandevi was the dream of Late Shri Naranji Govindji Thakkar, who started the company V. N. Thakkar Hingwala in the year 1932 in Masjid Bunder. Later on, the company was set up in Chinch Bunder. Both these areas were predominantly business hubs with the Kutchi community as its helm. With the dedicated efforts of Shri Mahendra Naranji Thakkar, “Vandevi” which was a household name in India became an international name. He worked towards taking the trademark “Vandevi” to the world and started exporting on a large scale both directly and through local exporters. Today, “Vandevi” brand is flourishing in most parts of the world.
