PRAKASH FEED MILLS which was incorporated in the year 1984 set up a Protein Recovery plant to manufacture a high quality animal protein from slaughter house wastes to replace fish meal and soyabean extraction in feeds for poultry, aqua and pigs. The technology developed by its Promoter & Chairman was translated into a Medium scale industry. The factory was set up in 8 hectares of land and 45,000 sqft built up area with a Capital Outlay of Rs.100 million. The company has faced lot of initial problems in standardizing the technology of bringing the raw materials, which contain about 65% moisture from different parts of the country. PFM finally developed an economic method of preserving the raw material and transporting to the factory.
